Lunch and Bridge: Our Pro-Am Game is on Tuesday, August 9th so please sign up now.  A tasty lunch featuring a Greek Salad, Baked Ham and an assortment of side dishes and desserts will be served around 12:20 with the Pro-Am pairings announced at 1:00 PM.  If you would like to bring a finger dessert or a side dish, please do so.  The game starts at 1:30 PM.  This event is always enjoyable but also special for it brings together our Open and Limited players who often play at different times.  Please sign up at the club (sign up sheet is on the bulletin board or call a Bridge Director).  Don't miss this one!

Gift Ideas:  Our Club's Cookbook, Grand Slam Recipes, is a unique compilation of culinary delights from our membership.  Buy one for yourself and another for a friend.  The Bridge Directors handle sales and have a copy of "Grand Slam Recipes" on display.

Library:  Our Library is doing well with many of our members checking out books.  To help build our library, please consider donating Bridge books you no longer need ... someone will appreciate your generosity.  Thanks to all of you who have donated books in the past, we really appreciate it.

Friday Night Swiss is in full swing again so come out and join us at 7 PM.  Come as a pair and teams will be formed by drawing cards.  If you need a partner, call Spike Lay or any Bridge Directors and they'll be glad to help.

Tuesday's Jackpot won twice in July!!  Matie Ellery and Kirby Baker won the July 12th Tuesday afternoon's Jackpot of $20 with a 60.88% game and a first place finish.  (Just two weeks before, they won a $100 jackpot.)  On July 26th, Carl Cunningham and Bill McManus won the $20 Jackpot with a 63.78% game.  Each week the Jackpot is increased by $10 until someone wins or the Jackpot reaches $100.  See you next Tuesday!

Web Site Featured Page and Tip: There are many pages on our web site and the Web Site Map is an organized index to them.  Remember, any underlined blue text such as Bridge Links is a link that when clicked will take you to a new page. Try it!

Learning Center: On Saturday, August 6th at 10:00 AM, we will offer mini-classes (details) including a tour of our web site, how to use Bridge Score, software available at the Learning Center Computer, and a question and answer session on any computer related topic.  So please brings your questions and problems, and we'll do our best to help you.  If you can't make this session but want a mini-class on a specific topic, please sign up at the Learning Center (a sign up sheet is on the desk).   Questions and comments should be sent to Bill McManus.
