Sept 6, 2005

Our Pro-Am Game on Tuesday, August 9th was terrific fun.  We had 17 tables divided into two sections with Russell MacLeod and Gail Rust the overall winners.  In section C, N-S winners were Vijey Jain and Bob Durand, while E-W was won by  Hope Nabors and Spike Lay.  In section D, N-S winners were Russell MacLeod and Gail Rust, while E-W winners were Tim Bober and Shirley Townley.   A delicious lunch was served before the game.  Read more on our web site.

Congratulations to Judy McCall who earned her Life Master at the recent Clearwater Regional playing with her husband Neil McCall.

The District 9 STAC games were well attended and the final event, Sunday Swiss, drew 16 teams.  STAC games are a good way to win the silver points you need, plus they are local.  Moreover, you get hand records which are very helpful in analyzing and understanding why ... you won those silver points.  For complete District 9 STAC results click here.

Our Daytona Sectional Tournament will be held September 15th - 18th and we hope to have a great turnout.  As is our tradition, you can expect great bridge and great food.  The Sunday Swiss game, September 18th, will be a Memorial Game for Felix Shiffman.  Felix loved bridge and he loved our bridge club.  We remember him with fond memories and a smile.
