June 2006

This week is STaC week--Sectional Tournaments at Clubs. You can earn more masterpoints and those hard-to-get silver. We have hand records from the ACBL, and results will be posted on the Unit 128 website at http://www.floridaunit128.org/.

Here is the schedule--

    Monday afternoon, both sections
Tuesday morning 299ers and afternoon Open
    Wednesday afternoon
    Thursday, both sections
    Friday afternoon 499ers
Friday evening--NOTE: This will be a pairs game (see Sunday below)
    Saturday afternoon
Sunday afternoon, 1:30 PM, will be a one-session Swiss game. Bring your team of four. If you need partners or teammates, contact Peg Lupo, 386-677-7840 or pegll@aol.com.

These games are a great way for our non-Life Masters to move closer to that coveted goal.

Saturday, July 1, is a Club Tournament.
Monday, July 3, is our Birthday Cake day for July honorees.
Monday, July 10; Thursday, the 13th; and Tuesday, the 18th, are Club Tournaments.
Wednesday, July 26th, is your last chance to qualify for the North American Pairs competition.

Our Wednesday morning game, formerly 0 - 50 masterpoints, is now 0 - 99. The Board approved this change at its last meeting.

We have a new addition to our crew of Game Directors. Susan Simpson, one of our newer players, will be an active director. If you do not yet know her, introduce yourself. You'll find her charming and always smiling.

Members who distinguished themselves at the Palm Beach Gardens Regional include Gail Rust, John Morris, Harriet Eaton, Don Metler, Robert Renuart and Lynn Brown. Congratulations to all.

Have a good game.

Max Bayard
